Myofascial Release MFR:

Myofascial Release is not massage. The John F. Barnes MFR approach is a therapeutic treatment that uses gentle stretching to facilitate the release of fascia restrictions caused by accidents, injury and traumatic or surgical scarring.

This hands-on therapy is a powerful healing technique that effectively and efficiently allows patients to realize their full potential. MFR is a whole-body therapy. Injury to any part of your fascia system can have far-reaching effects on other parts of the body. A basic tenet of MFR is that no part of the body is separate from the other. As we age we accumulate compounding stresses to our fascia system. Fascial restrictions from poor posture or habitual motions, not to mention traumatic events, can slowly influence the structural mobility of our body and pull us out of alignment.
MFR Therapy is quite gentle and most people find it to be very relaxing. However, don’t let the gentleness deceive you: it has profound effects on the body’s tissues.
